Covid-19 Additional Relief Fund
The government is providing additional business rates relief to support businesses that have been affected by the pandemic but are ineligible for existing support linked to business rates.
Applications for the discretionary Covid-19 Additional Relief Fund (CARF) are now open.
This scheme is only available to businesses and organisations who pay business rates in Cambridge.
Under this scheme we will not award relief:
- to ratepayers who would have been eligible for Extended Retail Discount (covering retail, hospitality and leisure), or Nursery Discount.
- where the property was unoccupied. Properties that were temporarily closed due to government advice on coronavirus can still apply.
- unless the ratepayer has been adversely affected by the pandemic and has been unable to adequately adapt to that impact.
You must apply for relief by 8 June 2022. Awards will be made by 30 September 2022 after we have assessed all applications.
