Cambridge City Council

Warm and welcoming spaces

From October 2022 to March 2023, the council will be opening its community centres across Cambridge as warm and welcoming places for local people to access community events, quiet spaces and meals – to support residents struggling with the cost of living crisis.

In the coming weeks we will be publicising a schedule of locations and opening hours, as well as information about what is on offer at each location.

We will also be making funding available for voluntary and community sector partners who wish to similarly provide venues or activities.

Communities themselves may have an idea for an activity or event that will make a real difference, and we can provide funding to get these off the ground. This might include opening community buildings as warm spaces, providing community meals or other local suggestions.

Community groups can contact us to find out more about the funding by emailing community.resilience@cambridge.gov.uk.
