Park Street car park is a multi-storey car park close to the city centre, colleges and the river. It has been awarded Park Mark plus status.

The car park was closed for refurbishment from 2022. It re-opened in November 2024. Read our news release for more information: Park Street car and cycle park opens following major redevelopment by council.

• Open Monday to Sunday, 24 hours a day
• Short-stay pay-on-foot car park – you cannot reserve a space in advance
• Height limit: 2.1 metres (6 feet 10 inches)
• 222 car spaces including:
  • 16 Blue Badge bays on Level -1
  • 26 electric vehicle charging bays (two of which are accessible)
  • more than 260 bike spaces in the separate cycle park
  • 20 motorcycle parking bays (free parking)
• Parent and child bays are not available in this car park
• Coaches are not allowed — use Madingley Road Park & Ride
• Lift in operation 24 hours a day

Charges

The cost of your ticket depends on the days, time and number of hours you park for. The payment machine will calculate the price when you leave. If your stay extends across more than one tariff​, it will add the costs from each one together.

The payment machines accept cash, cards, Android Pay and Apple Pay.

You can pay by card, Android Pay or Apple Pay at the exit.

Blue Badge holders can claim three hours’ free parking. The standard tariff will apply after the free hours. You must scan your badge when you pay – the machine will reduce the cost of your stay when you pay.

If you lose your ticket, we will charge you from 8am on the day you entered the car park.

Weekday daytime tariff

The weekday tariff applies:

• 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday

Weekend daytime tariff

The weekend tariff applies:

• 8 to 6pm on Saturdays
• 10am to 6pm on Sundays

Evening and overnight parking

The evening and overnight tariff applies every day from 6pm until the start of the next daytime tariff.

Bank holidays

Normal daily rates apply on bank holidays.
