Trumpington Pavilion is in south Cambridge. It’s next to Trumpington recreation ground, which is often known as King George V playing field.
The pavilion has a main hall and youth room that you can hire for events and activities. The room has a kitchen, a disabled toilet and free wifi.
Football pitches of various sizes and changing rooms are also available to hire.
The pavilion only opens for reserved sessions – you cannot drop in to use the community room.
Public-use rooms
The main hall is well lit and ventilated. It measures 70m2 and can fit 50 people standing or 40 seated. Sliding doors open onto a patio area and the recreation ground.
The kitchen has a water boiler, oven, microwave, toaster and fridge. There is cutlery and crockery for 48 people and a range of utensils. You can serve food directly into the hall from the kitchen.
A digital projector and screen are available free when you hire the rooms.
There are two team changing rooms suitable for football matches and other sports or outdoor activities. There is also a match officials’ room with disabled facilities, which you can use independently or with the pavilion’s other rooms.
The pavilion has level access from the road and throughout, a disabled toilet, and automatic front doors through the foyer.
Events and activities
The pavilion hosts a variety of groups and activities every week. The programme of events includes contact details for each activity.
Hiring the rooms and pitches
The hall is available to hire from 9am to 11pm every day. Amplified music must be turned off by 10.45pm and everybody must leave by 11pm.
You can book the pitches and changing rooms with the hall, or separately.
Public transport and parking
The pavilion is a short walk from the Trumpington Park & Ride. Various bus services stop nearby on Anstey Way – check Traveline for specific routes and times.
There are five bike racks in front of the Pavilion.
There are no car parking spaces, but on-street parking is available nearby.
