Selling your leasehold property

If you’re thinking of selling your leasehold property, remember that:

  • If you bought the property under the Right to Buy scheme within the last five years, you’ll have to repay some or all of the discount. The exact terms are set out in your lease.
  • If you bought your property within the last 10 years, you might have to offer it back to us first, under our Right of First Refusal.
  • Your service charge account, including any major work, must be clear up until completion of the sale. We cannot change the ownership details on the property until your account is cleared in full.

We will be informed of the buyer’s details by a Notice of Transfer served on us by the buyer’s solicitors.
