Public toilets

We provide public toilets at key locations across the city.

Most locations have an accessible toilet, and many have baby-changing facilities. Check the list below the map for full information about each location.

You’ll need a Radar key to use some of the accessible toilets. You can buy one online.

We clean all the toilets at least twice every day they are open – contact us to report any issues.

Coronavirus pandemic

Some of our public toilet buildings do not allow for safe social distancing, so we have closed them during the pandemic.

We will re-open them when the government advises it is safe to do so. Public safety remains our priority.

We are inspecting and cleaning the toilets that remain open throughout the day. We’ll close them while cleaning them.

Please be respectful to our staff at all times. We are often working in difficult, unpleasant and challenging environments.

Safe use of public toilets

We advise you not to use public toilets if possible during the coronavirus pandemic. If you do use them, please follow the guidance to keep yourself and others safe.

  • Do maintain a safe distance of 2 metres from other people
  • Do avoid touching surfaces where possible, and do not touch your face
  • Do dispose of paper towels in the bins provided
  • Do use and leave the facility as quickly as possible
  • Do wash your hands [NHS video] with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Do wash your hands again when you get home
  • Do not use cubicles or urinals that have been closed for yor safety

If you cannot maintain social distancing, please wait in the designated queuing area. Keep 2 metres apart from others and avoid blocking the entrance. No more than 2 people should be in the waiting area at a time.
