Nightingale Pavilion in south Cambridge has re-opened after being rebuilt in 2023.
The pavilion has a large community room that you can book for events, classes and activities. It has a kitchen, toilets and baby-changing facilities, and free wifi.
Outside, there are two public toilets and a large veranda with views across the recreation ground.
The pavilion has junior football pitches that you can hire, with two team changing rooms and a disabled changing room that referees can also use.
The pavilion is fully accessible. It has a power-assisted door, a level path into the community room and changing rooms, and a disabled toilet. There is a portable hearing loop.
The community room hosts various groups and activities each week.
The pavilion will only open for reserved sessions – you cannot drop in to use the community room. The room is available to hire at the following times:
The community room is 98m2, and the kitchen is 23m2.
Tables and chairs are available indoors and on the veranda for meetings and events. The community room has a large TV with HDMI connections.
The kitchen has ovens, a microwave and toaster. There is a hot-water dispenser and enough cutlery, crockery and utensils for about 40 people.
The football pitches are available to hire from August to May.
We can set up each pitch for 5, 7, 9 or 11-a-side matches.
The community room and pitches are available for hire on weekdays.
They are available on weekends outside the football season, which usually runs from August to May.
You can hire the community room with or without a pitch and the changing rooms. When you hire a pitch and the changing rooms, you will also have access to the community room.
