King’s Hedges Learner Pool
King’s Hedges Learner Pool is an indoor pool. It’s 15 metres long and 0.9 metres deep. There’s a splashpad outside the building which is now closed until next summer.
The pool is now open and swimming lessons are available.
There are covered cycle racks outside the pool, and buses stop on Buchan Street – check Traveline for public transport information. There are some parking spaces nearby.
Disabled access
The pool has easy path and ramp access for wheelchair users.
There are two dedicated disabled changing rooms and shower facilities.
A specialist hoist and cradle facilitates access into the pool.
Free swimming
Under-3s can swim for free during public-swimming sessions. They must be accompanied at all times by a person over 17 years of age. Please notify the receptionist.
Under-17s can swim for free from 1 to 4pm on weekday afternoons in school holidays. They must be accompanying an under-3-year-old and over-17-year-old.
