Cambridge City Council

Climate Change Charter

Our Climate Change Strategy includes a vision for Cambridge to be net-zero carbon by 2030.

Local businesses, organisations and individuals all have a vital role in helping us to achieve this.

Watch our short video to understand the actions that will be needed.

Our Climate Change Charter encourages you to show your commitment to mitigating climate change by pledging to reduce your carbon emissions.

We funded Cambridge Carbon Footprint (CCF) to develop the Cambridge Climate Change Charter; and the Cambridge Climate Map, which makes it easier for individuals and businesses to keep the pledges they make when they sign the charter.

CCF can also provide further advice, resources and training to help you understand and reduce your carbon footprint, including a free carbon footprint calculator to help you identify the environmental impact of your everyday activities.

The charter won an IESE Certificate of Excellence in 2021.
