Cambridgeshire handyperson service

The Cambridgeshire handyperson service is available to people aged 65 years or older, or who have a disability.

The scheme is provided for us and other local authorities by Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

It aims to prevent falls and accidents by offering you a free personal assessment, a free home safety check, and carrying out small jobs in your home (some of which need to be paid for).

An Age UK assessor will visit you to discuss your needs, and offer advice and information on the support and services available to you.

They will recommend any small improvements which can be made your home, and can, if you wish, arrange for those jobs to be carried out by an approved contractor.

Find out more about the scheme, including how to apply, on the Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough website.
