Wellbeing walks

Wellbeing Walks is a developing programme of short, friendly group walks that can help you become and stay active.

The walks are led by trained volunteers. They are free to join, and everybody is welcome. Each walk will be different in length and may be more suited to some than others.

The programme has been developed with the support of the Ramblers and in partnership with local community groups and organisations.

The walk will take 45 to 60 minutes, depending upon the ability of the group. It will be led around the community garden and recreation ground, before returning to the pavilion for a free refreshment.

Trumpington wellbeing walk

  • Fridays at 11am from Trumpington Park and Ride (CB2 9FT)
  • Meeting point: The kiosk

This walk ranges from 50 to 70 minutes long.

It can be adapted to be a path walk, so that those using walking aids and pushchairs can join. However, if nobody with those needs is present, the walk will go through local woods and along the river. Suitable footwear is required for muddy paths.

There is a refreshment stop at the end of the walk as it passes the Trumpington Meadows community space. The café inside operates on a donation basis.

Please contact foundation@cambridgeunited.com for more details. It is recommended that you email first prior to attending.

Booking a walk

You do not need to book in advance for any wellbeing walk. However, some walks are available to pre-book via Bookwhen.

Booking in advance will provide you with more information on meeting locations, and will also enable us to contact you should a last-minute cancellation take place.
