The government launched the Hong Kong British National (Overseas) route in 2021.

The visa route gives BN(O) status holders and certain family members the opportunity to live, work, and study in the UK.

The government also set up a support package to help new arrivals settle into life in the UK. The East of England Hong Kong Welcome Hub forms part of that support for people settling in the East of England.

Hate crime support

On Your Side is a UK-wide support and reporting service for East and Southeast Asian people who have experienced racism or any form of hate.

The Southeast and East Asian Centre is a community organisation run by and for migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers from Southeast and East Asia, as well as people of these heritages living in the UK.
