There are 31 designated street-trading locations – a combination of four, eight and 12-month consents, totalling 42 consents – located around the city centre.
However, the consents at New Square (24) and one on Fitzroy Street (15) are currently under review and therefore we are unable to consider applications for these at this time.
Vacant pitches
We are not currently accepting applications for street-trading pitches.
Licensing and policy
Trading in the consent zone (see map, below) without a licence is deemed to be illegal street trading. You are exempt from this if you hold a valid pedlar's licence and follow the pedlars legislation.
We have a Street Trading Policy, which sets out how Street Trading is managed in Cambridge.
The policy also provides information about submitting an application to trade – we recommend you read this policy carefully before submitting your application form.
