When you apply for planning permission, you must submit various documents to support your application.
Check our guidance about what documents you must provide for each type of planning application. These requirements are in accordance with the National Planning Policy Guidance.
We cannot consider your application until we have all the required documents. We’ll ask you to provide any missing documents – if you do not provide them we might not be able to accept your application, and you will need to re-apply.
When your application is valid and registered, we will visit the application site to assess the proposals. We cannot specify times for these visits for householder applications, but will try to make ourselves known to the householder when we visit. If we cannot view the site independently, we will contact you to arrange a suitable time to visit.
