Council staff and councillors have this week been invited to watch a lunchtime or after work screening of 'The People’s Emergency Briefing' - a film that brings together leading UK experts to explain, as clearly as possible, what the latest science says about the climate and nature crisis, how it is already affecting our lives, and what can still be done.
A public event is also scheduled to take place on the evening of 25 September:

Everyone is welcome to attend, and the content is suitable for audiences without prior knowledge.
The screenings have been organised by the Mayor of Cambridge, Cllr Maria Cleminson, who said: "Being Mayor is a great honour which I do not take lightly. I know that it gives me an extraordinary platform, and it is my duty to use it for the very best of those who live and work here in Cambridge. What better way to do that than to share with my fellow citizens this vital film, which addresses the climate and nature crisis that faces our collective future?"
