A NEW survey has been launched to help Cambridge City Council consider what sort of seasonal events and attractions residents and visitors would like to see staged in Cambridge next winter.
The results of this survey will be used to help the council design a winter entertainment offer, which event providers will then be invited to tender for and deliver in 2023.
The survey will be open until midnight on 31 January 2023 and can be completed on the council’s engagement platform.
Cllr Alex Collis, Executive Councillor for Open Spaces, Food Justice and Community Development, said: “Our city’s seasonal events and attractions are popular with both residents and visitors, and help to attract footfall and consumer spend, which in turn helps our local businesses and the wider city economy.
“We are looking to develop a new winter offer, which is in keeping with our magical city; diverse and inclusive and has something for everyone to enjoy. Given our vision for Cambridge to be net zero carbon by 2030, the offer also needs to have environmental sustainability as a key design objective.
“This survey provides residents and visitors with the opportunity to help inform and shape our thinking around what this entertainment offer should be, and I urge you to participate.”
