Statement on the murder on Logan's Meadow

A POLICE murder investigation is underway following the death of 17-year-old Jesse Nwokejiobi in Logan’s Meadow on Saturday 19 November 2022. Police were called by the ambulance service at 2:52pm on Saturday with reports of a stabbing. Sadly, Jesse died at 2:56pm. Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with his murder.

Cllr Alice Gilderdale, Executive Councillor for Recovery, Employment and Community Safety, said: “Our thoughts and condolences are with Jesse’s family and friends at this terrible time. The news of his murder is deeply sad, especially as those involved are so young, and incredibly shocking, with incidents like this being rare in Cambridge.
