Shortlist success for CIP in four categories at Inside Housing Development Awards

29 July 2022

With over 250 entries into this year’s Inside Housing Development Awards, Cambridge Investment Partnership (CIP) is thrilled to have been shortlisted in four categories.

On the back of winning Best Development Team – South at last year’s awards, CIP has been shortlisted as Best Development Team – Urban at this year’s awards.

The flagship development, Ironworks at Mill Road has also been successful with Best Development – urban outside London and Best Partnership - over 100 homes while Colville Road Phase Two is nominated as Best Affordable Housing Development – less than £20m.

The Inside Housing Development Awards celebrate the very best residential developments across the UK, with categories recognising the teams, schemes, tenures, and solutions that have made a positive impact on local communities.

The Best Development Award recognises a completed or planned housing development that answers that call. The development will demonstrate ambition and create a great place where people want to live. Homes may be part of a multi-use development and this award is also open to sheltered housing, build-to-rent, student, co-living and custom build developments.

The winning team for Best Development Team will be able to demonstrate outstanding achievement to deliver high quality new homes and places that meet the needs of residents.

Some of the most successful developments have been made possible by strong and genuine collaboration between partners. The winning entry for Best Partnership will demonstrate the tangible outcomes possible only because of the partnership.

Best Affordable Housing Development Award recognises a development that creates a new community and a desirable, high-quality place to live that residents can afford. The winning development will offer social, affordable, sub-market and/or intermediate market rent homes, which may be part of a multi-use and/or mixed tenure development.

The winners of the awards will be announced at the end of September.

Cllr Gerri Bird, Executive Councillor for Housing at Cambridge City Council and CIP board member, said: "I am delighted that the success of Cambridge Investment Partnership is being recognised by the industry and would like to congratulate every member of the team for the hard work they are doing to deliver much needed affordable homes for our local community."

Tom Hill, Regional Director for Hill, said: "Being shortlisted for these four awards is fantastic recognition of the success of our partnership and the work our team is doing to deliver high quality sustainable new council and private sale homes in Cambridge."
