Elections are due to take place in Cambridge on Thursday 2 May 2024. The Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) will be elected, as well as 14 of the 42 seats on Cambridge City Council.
At these elections, you will need to provide photographic identification before you could vote at a polling station. Read our voter ID page to learn more.

- Tuesday 26 March: Notice of election published (official start of the election period)
- Tuesday 26 March: Poll cards issued
- Friday 5 April, 4pm: Deadline to submit a nomination to stand for election
- Wednesday 10 April: Postal votes in place by 3 April issued
- Tuesday 16 April, midnight: Deadline to register to vote
- Wednesday 17 April, 5pm: Deadline to apply for a postal vote, or cancel or change an existing one
- Friday 19 April: Postal votes applied for between 4 and 17 April issued
- Wednesday 24 April, 5pm: Deadline to apply for a proxy vote
- Wednesday 24 April, 5pm: Deadline to apply for a voter authority certificate (free voter ID)
- Thursday 2 May, 7am to 10pm: Polling day
- Friday 3 May: Count of ballot papers and results announced
