Cycling and walking promotion grants

Grants of up to £5,000 are available for groups to fund schemes that promote cycling and walking in the city.

Funding totalling just over £11,000 is available each year; the current round of applications finishes at the end of January 2018 with grants awarded throughout the year.

Grants will be given to groups that can show they will:

  • encourage new cyclists
  • encourage people to cycle or walk more often
  • promote safer cycling and/or walking
  • reduce cycle theft.
