Our art benches scheme gives a platform to visual artists of all levels.
It’s designed to help artists who have no access to funding or commercial opportunities but is open to everybody.
Christ's Lane benches
We have installed new benches along Christ’s Lane, the busy footpath between Christ’s Pieces and St Andrew’s Street.
Each bench has two or three glass frames – local artists can send us artwork to display in them.
Art criteria
Your artwork must be no larger than 300mm x 450mm, on a single sheet of paper.
You can use any medium – paint, pencil, photography, or anything else.
Free display
We’ll display every artwork we receive free of charge for up to one month on a first come, first served basis.
We reserve the right not to display any artwork that could cause offence.
Art benches Instagram
We will also feature your artwork on our art benches Instagram feed.
We’ll include brief notes about you and what inspired the artwork, and links to your website or social media.
