UK Power Networks priority service register

UK Power Networks owns and maintains the electricity cables in Cambridge. They keep a ‘priority service register’ of vulnerable people who might need extra support during a power cut.

Every resident aged 60 or older can join the register, as well as parents with children under five. It’s also open to residents with a disability or chronic illness, or who rely on medical equipment.

When you’re on the register, UK Power Networks will contact you to keep you updated during a power cut. They can also arrange tailored support such as home visits, and provide advice on reducing your energy bills
