Policy on adaptations for tenants with a disability

This policy supports the best use of resources, which may not necessarily be achieved by keeping tenants in the home they are currently living in: adaptations will not be completed where a person's needs can reasonably be met through rehousing.

The policy also guides occupational therapists and other professionals to understand what we will and will not be able to assist with in terms of adaptations to their home.

This policy is effective from 1 April 2017. It replaces the previous version, dated 2008.
