Recycling points changes

Due to ongoing fly-tipping incidents and bin misuse, we are removing mixed recycling facilities at Gwydir Street on 16 August and Cherry Hinton Hall on 30 August.

Textile and shoes bank at Cherry Hinton Hall and shoes bank at Gwydir Street will remain.

For info about HRCs and other recycling points, please visit our ‘Find a recycling point or rubbish tip’ section.

Residents who have too much recycling occasionally, can leave a clear sack of recycling and/or a bundle of cardboard (that would fit in a bin if there was space). Crews collect these, provided they have space on the round. Free bins for regular additional recycling can be ordered at www.cambridge.gov.uk/request-a-bin.

Although bring banks are for residents only, some businesses used them too. Every business that produces waste has to manage it properly to comply with the law. Find more info at www.rightwasterightplace.com. They can also ask our Commercial Team for a no-obligation quote, please visit www.greatercambridgewaste.org.
