The Cambridgeshire Home Improvement Agency, or Cambs HIA, assists local people who are elderly or vulnerable, who have disability needs, or who are on a low income.
Cambs HIA helps people repair, maintain or adapt their homes by providing practical or financial advice and support, to enable them to remain in their own homes in greater comfort and safety.
The agency’s Adaptations Policy [PDF, 0.8MB] explains what types of grants and help are available. It was approved in 2019.
Disabled Facilities Grants of up to £30,000 are available to carry out adaptation works that will help a disabled person remain living independently in their own home.
