Summer sport and fitness activities

These activities for children, teenagers and families will take place from 20 July to 30 August. Some of the sessions will take place online.

We’re also running a programme of summer activities for children and young people, including arts and crafts, quizzes, and more.

‘Fit kit’ fitness circuits

Teen yoga course

  • Free 6-week online programme
  • For ages 12 to 19
  • No previous yoga experience required
  • Work through the 30 minute sessions at a time and place to suit you
  • Register for the online yoga course

Tai chi

  • Suitable for anybody, for all levels of ability and delivered by an experienced and local instructor
  • Tuesdays 18 August, 25 August and 1 September, 8 to 8.45am
  • Fridays 21 August, 28 August and 4 September, 12.30 to 1.15pm
  • Free, but booking is essential
  • Sessions are weather dependent
  • Book your place on a tai chi session
