Request a personal search

To request a personal search of the Local Land Charges Register, email land.charges@cambridge.gov.uk at least 2 working days in advance of your preferred appointment and provide the following information:

  • Date of appointment
  • Collection slot: AM (between 10 and 12) or PM (between 2 and 4)
  • The full postal address to be searched
  • Site plan clearly showing the boundary marked in red
  • The name of the person or company carrying out the personal search

You can submit up to 5 addresses for any appointment (one appointment per company per day) with a separate site plan for each address.  We will email you back to confirm the booking.  If for any reason you can’t make an appointment please email or ring to rearrange as soon as possible.

Searches will be ready for collection from the reception at The Guildhall, Market Square, Cambridge, CB2 3QJ. The information provided will be raw and unverified data. If there are any queries regarding the results or the information supplied in a personal search, these need to be taken up with the person or personal search company who carried out the search rather than the council.  We will consider reasonable adjustment requests for people with disabilities accessing the Council Offices.

There is no charge for personal searches. Any personal searches that are not collected by 4pm on the day of appointment will be destroyed and must be requested again.
