FRONTLINE emergency food providers in Cambridge are calling on local residents and businesses to pitch in with even more food and cash donations.
Cambridge Sustainable Food has been coordinating emergency food provision as part of the Cambridge Food Poverty Alliance.
Cllr Anna Smith, Executive Councillor for Communities, said: “The team has been doing incredible work and I want to thank every single person who has contributed time, money, food or facilities.
“Restrictions might be loosening, but if anything needs are going up, and our support is more important than ever, so we are calling on everyone in Cambridge who is able to do so to make a donation of cash, food or both.”
Sam Dyer, Director at Cambridge Sustainable Food, said: “With so many people out of work this year, we are expecting the need for food to be even higher than normal.”
