ELECTIONS to Cambridge City Council were held on Thursday 2 May, with 16 seats being contested in 14 wards. There was also a by-election in the Trumpington division of Cambridgeshire County Council.
Before the election yesterday, the composition of the 42 seats on the city council was: Labour 25 seats, Liberal Democrat 13 seats, Vacant 2 seats, Green 1 seat and Independent 1 seat.
Following the election, the composition of the 42 seats on the city council is now: Labour 26 seats, Liberal Democrat 15 seats, Independent 1 seat.
