THROUGH its 2019 S106 funding round, Cambridge City Council is inviting proposals for ways to improve public play areas and open spaces in parts of the city where funding is still available.
In the same way, grants are also on offer to local community groups for refurbishing their halls and meeting venues in Cambridge, which would benefit the wider community.
Play area and open space improvement proposals and community facility grant applications are invited by 9am on Tuesday 30 April. To find out more about which S106 funding categories are available in different wards and how to apply, visit www.cambridge.gov.uk/s106-priority-setting.
The S106 developer contributions available via this 2019 funding round have been paid by developers to address the impact of new housing and other development in Cambridge.
S106 funding cannot be used for projects outside the city boundaries, nor for repairs, maintenance, like-for-like replacements or running costs.
