Local land charge searches unavailable by post until further notice

Please request searches by email or online. If you have sent a search request by post since 24 March, please resend it online or by email

Local land charge searches

A local land charge search must be carried out whenever a property or parcel of land is purchased, leased or valued. We maintain the statutory local land charge register for Cambridge.

The register shows restrictions or obligations on a property that go with the land. Such entries may include tree preservations orders, conservation areas, conditions imposed on planning permissions and more.

The local authority is the only source for an official certified search.
