Play your part in delivering 500 homes in five years.
This high profile role will see you leading the Housing Development Agency to facilitate the delivery of additional housing across the Greater Cambridge Area. You’ll play an intrinsic part in trying to address the exceptional housing market conditions in Cambridge. You’ll join us at an exciting time, as an additional £70 million has been allocated to the Cambridge and Peterborough Combined Authority as part of the devolution deal.
It’s a chance to lead and ensure the delivery of large and complex completed projects and programmes while leading and inspiring the seven-strong Housing Development Agency team and developing strong relationships with our public and private sector partners.
The Housing Development Agency is focused on the delivery of housing, on a range of sites including on our own land (General Fund as well as HRA), other public land, and potentially other sites that can be acquired for housing. The primary target for the agency is the delivery of 500 Council homes in 5 years!
Your considerable experience of leading the delivery of major complex housing or multi-use projects for public sector organisations will include developing strategic, business and implementation plans. Qualified to degree level or with a professional qualification, you’ll have the confidence and charisma to build and manage successful relationships with key partners and stakeholders. In addition to this, you will be able to demonstrate previous experience of your ability to develop and implement innovative housing models.
Experience of commissioning and procuring professional services relevant to the full cycle of housing development, including legal, property consultants, architects, developers and house buildings, will be essential. What’s more, you’ll have the robust programme, project and budget management skills to deliver complex programmes to deadline and budget.
