Sex Establishment Licensing Policy consultation

Consultation open from 10 May 2021 to 1 August 2021.

When we adopted our current Sex Establishment Licensing Policy in 2016, we committed to review it before the end of October 2021.

There is no legal requirement for us to adopt a policy, but the government considers it to be good practice for licensing authorities to have a statement of licensing policy for sex establishments, stating how they will administer their functions.

Have your say

We want to know what you think about the draft policy, so are undertaking a 12-week public consultation to let you have your say. The consultation is open until 1 August 2021.

Please send your comments by email or post to:

Your views will help us decide the final content of the documents. We will consider all comments, although we cannot respond to them individually.

Next steps

We will present a report based on the consultation results at the Licensing Committee meeting on 27 September 2021. We will publish the outcome here in October 2021.
