Jesus Ditch biodiversity enhancements consultation

Consultation open from 27 September to 11.55pm on Sunday 24 October.

We have been allocated S106 developer contributions to improve the biodiversity of Jesus Ditch, in the southeast corner of Jesus Green.

We propose to replace about 80 metres of the concrete ditch bank with a more natural boundary. We propose to lower the bank to create suitable conditions for a more diverse wetland flora to flourish.

We also propose to plant a wildflower meadow nearby and install a raised deck with viewing platform over the new wetland area and out to the open water of the ditch. We will install information boards to guide visitors and support educational visits.

The Jesus Ditch landscape masterplan [PDF, 12MB] shows the location and scope of the proposal.
