Cambridge City Council

Five Trees biodiversity enhancements consultation

Consultation open from 22 September to 5pm on 3 November 2021.

A group of residents has proposed that we should plant new trees and create a wildflower meadow on the Five Trees park in Chesterton, to improve the area’s biodiversity.

We want to hear what you think about two options for doing this, one of which includes planting the city’s first Tiny Forest. You can find out more about the proposals and have your say on our online survey:

Five Trees biodiversity enhancements survey [link no longer active]

The survey is open until 5pm on 3 November 2021. If you have any questions about the proposals or survey, contact us at parks@cambridge.gov.uk.

Next steps

We will consider all responses to the survey and select the preferred optioned. We hope to begin preparing the site for planting in winter 2021.

The work will be paid for by S106 developer contributions and, depending on which option is chosen, external grants.
