Draft Statement of Licensing Policy and Cumulative Impact Assessment consultation

Consultation open from 1 September to 22 November 2020.

The Licensing Act 2003 requires us to produce a Statement of Licensing Policy, and to update it every 5 years. We adopted our current statement in October 2017.

The Policing and Crime Act 2017 made cumulative impact assessments statutory, meaning any policy must take them into account.

We are separating our Cumulative Impact Assessment from our Statement of Licensing Policy. At the same time, we are reviewing our Statement of Licensing Policy.

As part of the Cumulative Impact Assessment, we propose to add a new cumulative impact area. The new area covers Mitcham’s Corner and parts of Chesterton Road and Milton Road. Appendix 3 of the assessment includes the details.

Have your say

We want to know what you think about the draft documents, so are undertaking a 12-week public consultation to let you have your say. The consultation is open until 22 November 2020.

Please send your comments by email or post to:

Your views will help us decide the final content of the documents. We will consider all comments, although we cannot respond to them individually.

Next steps

We will present a report based on the consultation results to Licensing Committee in January 2021. We will publish the outcome here soon after that.
