Consultation on the proposed designation of a South Newnham neighbourhood area and forum

Introduction and background

We have received an application for the designation of a neighbourhood area and a neighbourhood forum, in accordance with the Neighbouring Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).

The area is named as South Newnham (Cambridge City) and the forum is named as South Newnham (Cambridge City) Area Forum.

In accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, we are inviting comments on the proposed designations through a six-week public consultation until 5pm on Monday 6 March 2017 on:

Next steps

Following the close of the six-week consultation period, we will consider all comments received. A report will then be prepared with a recommendation as to whether or not the proposed neighbourhood area and forum should be designated.

The final decision will be available on this page once it has been made.

The formal designation decisions will be made by the Executive Councillor for Planning Policy and Transport following consideration at the Development Plan Sub-Committee on Wednesday 22 March 2017 and must be made within 13 weeks of receipt of the application.
