Consultation for improvements to Inveran planting areas, St. Matthew's Street

Consultation runs from

9 May 2017, 9:00am to 5 June 2017, 11:59pm

Introduction and background

Following the improvement works done in 2016, Cambridge City Council proposes to complete further works to improve the area at the front of Inveran, on St. Matthew's Street. This work will be to replace bollards, remove obsolete cobbles, add a new planting area, and plant all areas with additional shrubs. This project will be funded through the EIP (Environment Improvement Programme).

The new bollards will be oak to match those already on site and will replace the black bollards. The drop bollard will remain to allow access. A new planting area will be added to increase the green space and allow some screening from the road. The obsolete cobble path in the large bed will be removed so that the space can be returned to planting.
