Coe Fen lighting improvement consultation

Consultation runs from 27 January 2017, 8:00am to 24 February 2017, 11:59pm

Introduction and background

Cambridge City Council and Cambridgeshire County Council, through the Environmental Improvement Programme (EIP) and Local Highways Improvements (LHI) funding, propose to provide solar stud lighting from Lammas Land car park, through Coe Fen, to Trumpington Road on the busy Public Right of Way. This is in order to improve safety and usability of the route during the hours of darkness.

It is intended that 100 solar studs will be installed on alternate sides, 8 to 12 metres apart along the 0.9km route.

This consultation gives local residents and stakeholders an opportunity to comment on issues relating to this proposed project.

Consultation information

This wider public consultation is to ensure the project has a majority of public support.  If so we can go commission the installation of the studs and proceed with installation during the of Spring 2017.
