Chesterton Road and Humberstone Road tree-planting consultation

We have allocated funding to plant new trees on Chesterton Road and Humberstone Road. We have identified a number of potential locations for them, but only have enough funding to plant at some of these locations.

The funding has been made available through our environmental improvement programme. We hope that further funding will be made available later, to allow us to plant more trees.

We’d like you to help us choose which locations to plant trees at in this first phase of works. If you live or work near Chesterton Road or Humberstone Road, please tell us what you think about the potential planting locations.

Your responses will inform the locations of the trees, both in this first phase and if funding is made available for further planting. They will also indicate whether this planting initiative is supported by the general public.

All the potential locations will need to take into account highway infrastructure and underground utilities services, which could affect the suitability of each of them.

This consultation ends at midday on Friday 15 February. If you have any questions about it, contact us at projectdevelopment@cambridge.gov.uk or 01223 457354.
