Consultation runs from 5 February 2018, 12:00am to 11 March 2018, 11:59pm
Introduction and background
Solar-powered stud lights are a cost-effective way of lighting paths. We propose installing them on the path alongside Bin Brook between Cranmer Road and Gough Way.
As well as helping people find their way, the lights will improve the safety and usability of the pathway.
We propose to install about 40 stud lights along the centreline of the footpath, between 8 and 12 metres apart.
Complete our short online survey to tell us what you think about our proposal.

Additional information and documents
The solar-powered stud lights we propose to install have been trialled successfully on Coe Fen and Lammas Land, and further along this proposed route.
The latest model of light incorporates a ‘bat hat’, which reduces the upward light spillage by around 98%. This makes it a friendlier option for nocturnal wildlife.
The results of this survey will enable councillors to decide how the project should be implemented.
