ChYpPS, our Children and Young People's Participation Service, works with children and young people of all ages across the city, organising activities in local neighbourhoods in response to need.
October half-term programme
ChYpPS will be running a range of free activities for children and families during October half term (23 to 27 October).
‘Tough Love’ is a new, hard-hitting and innovative Applied Theatre project performed by the company ’Alter Ego’ that raises awareness of control and abuse in teenage relationships.

The ChYpPS Community Play Boat
The ChYpPS Community Play Boat is a wide beam narrowboat that allows children, young people, families and community groups to take part in innovative activities along the River Cam.
We run a number of closed groups that are mostly referred projects.
HeyDaze has been running since 2002 and aims to provide a four-day residential and fortnightly activities for a group of 12 children aged 9 to 13 years old. The project aims to increase self esteem and develop confidence and help children get involved in social and leisure provision in neighbourhoods.
The ChYpPS Scrapstore provides a source of recycled materials for children and young people to use in art, craft and play activities. We also sell arts and crafts equipment at cost price.
