Cambridge Green Business Grant scheme

Updated: 13 January 2022.

If your business is based in commercial premises in the city, which are registered for business rates, you can apply now for up to £10,000 grants to help cut your carbon emissions, save money and improve productivity.

A Cambridge Green Business Grant can help your business install a range of improvements including:

  • better insulation
  • energy management systems
  • solar photovoltaic panels
  • low‑energy lighting
  • water-saving measures

It could also be used, for example, to purchase electric bikes for business use which would reduce your company’s reliance on fossil-fuel run vehicles.

Your business does not have to provide ‘match funding’, but you can add your own money to pay for larger carbon-saving projects.

If your business is eligible, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. We will assess applications when we receive them.

The application deadline is 11 March 2022, but the scheme might close earlier if all the funding is awarded.

Grants will be paid to successful applicants by 31 March 2022. Recipients will need to complete the improvements within the following year.

The Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce manage the Green Business Grant scheme on our behalf, and are working with Allia.
