Groups of local residents or voluntary groups can apply to our area committees for funding for projects, activities or services.
The priorities for area committee community grants specifically focus on reducing social and economic inequality for disadvantaged residents. Projects or activities should benefit a specific community or people living in a particular area.
Councillors decide on grant applications once per year, at an area committee meeting in the spring. Our ward map can help you work out which area committee your group should apply to.
We are currently accepting funding applications for projects that will take place between 1 April 2019 and 31 March 2020.
Read our information pack to find out whether your group and activity is eligible.
Most of this this funding has been spent – there is a small amount of funding left for the West/ Central area. If you think your group and activity might be eligible for a small bid, or for further information, contact us to discuss it.
This grant round will be launched in December 2019. Please contact us if you want to be put on the mailing list or to discuss a potential bid.
The guidelines are likely to be similar to those for 2019/20. However, bid deadlines will be earlier for the North area – possibly in mid-January.
