RIDGEONS Centenary Activities
Ridgeons Timber and Builders Merchants is a family owned business, founded
in 1911 by Cyril Ridgeon working from his own home in St Barnabas Road in
Cambridge.
Join
in Ridgeons' 100th anniversary celebrations with Edwardian and Victorian fair
rides, plus stalls including Penny On A Plate, Tin Can Alley and more
walkabout characters and entertainment including the famous
Chipperfield Big Top Circus, housing a traditional Edwardian style circus.
There will also be rides on a traditional horse and cart.
Saturday Only: Circus times for public shows are 12.30pm, 2pm,
3.30pm, 5pm.

Stalls, fair rides and Ridgeons' Garden Marquee are also open on Sunday.
John Lewis Marquee
City
children have been inspired by weeks of arts activities in their schools as part
of the city council's Cambridge Children's Festival, sponsored by John
Lewis.
The Family Fun Day concludes the Festival with a day of fantastic non-stop
fun for kids in the John Lewis Marquee including free face painting;
mural painting; arts and crafts workshops; walkabout characters;
circus workshops and cake decorating.

city to provide two days of activities, entertainment and information on local
environment interests.

Sports Arena
This year’s sports arena is bigger than ever and will feature plenty of
different activities as well as popular workshops and demonstrations. The focus
on Saturday will be youth and children whilst Sunday will be senior citizens,
however everyone is welcome on both days.
The ChYpPs Young Performers Tent

Building on its success from previous years, the city council's Children and
Young People's Participation Service's Young Performers' Tent will play host to
performances from young local artists, including music and dance.
And There's More...
Look out for a bar marquee, fairground rides*, local stalls, and a
continental market.
