The main stage in the park this year features a wide range of musical styles

KINGS winners of the Cambridge Band Competition, and winners
of the Under-18 Band Competition

Music will start at midday with a school’s performance from PARKSIDE
AND COLERIDGE

IT’S A KNOCKOUT
Addenbrookes Charitable Trust (ACT) is hosting IT’S A KNOCKOUT!,
a fun, team building event for local companies. This excellent event based
on the 1970’s BBC TV show uses water, foam, inflatables and
costumes, and can include games such as Banana Dash, Slippery Slope, Pinball
Wizard, Soccer Shoot-Out and Human Washing Machine!

CAMBRIDGE'S CHILDREN'S FAMILY FUN DAY
One of the highlights of the summer, Cambridge’s Children’s
Festival Family Fun Day this year takes centre stage for the first time
at the Big Day Out on Parker’s Piece! Supported by John Lewis, the
Family Fun Day is a perfect chance for kids to enjoy an array of activities
and entertainment, all completely FREE.*
There will be three marquees to choose from:
The PERFORMANCE MARQUEE where acts include:
local performer and storyteller Rowan Wylie - The Jewel In The Lotus: Tails
From Tibet; Pekkos Puppets performing Red Riding Hood and The Princess and
the Pea; Shrishti Indian Dance Company teaching Indian dance, and youth
choir Brown’s Field Singers.

In the WORKSHOP MARQUEE, lots of creative activity including: facepainting;
puppet making; an art workshop with local artist Jo Buffery and the chance
for children to get a close-up view of theatre company Gomito’s specially
made puppets.

There will also be a special JOHN LEWIS MARQUEE with lots on offer!
It will include: craft activities ranging from jewellery making, picture
and puppet making to t-shirt decoration; fashion shows on the hour from
12pm; Irish dancers at 12.30pm and lots more. For details of what will be going on both in the marquee and instore in the
