Heart of the World is an exciting and vibrant opportunity for everyone in Cambridge to come together and celebrate the city's cultural diversity and international links through world music and culture.

Over the next three years, the festival will focus on developing its vision to ensure that it achieves:

• Excellence in quality for all events
• A strong identity for the festival so everyone in the city knows about it
• Sustainability to ensure the festival can continue to grow and thrive

Main Objectives of the Festival

Heart of the World aims to:

• Co-ordinate a programme of world music and diverse cultural activity for the enjoyment of people from all backgrounds
• Increase attendance and participation at cultural events by minority ethnic groups in Cambridge
• Raise the profile of world music and culture in Cambridge
• Celebrate Cambridge's cultural diversity & prestigious international links
• Develop partnership working with Cambridge organisations to deliver festival events
