01/j/75 Quarterly Report: APRIL TO JUNE 2001 (1ST
QUARTER)
The
report by the Director of Environment and Planning reviewed levels of
performance during the first quarter of the financial year against agreed
quality standards for those service activities of main interest to the
Subcommittee, and reviewed progress on matters authorised by Planning
Subcommittee.
Members
noted that amongst areas that had been identified for improvement, the
department had been successful in making progress towards achieving the target
set. However the speed of registration and processing of household applications
remained in need of attention. Members were also concerned about the length of
time taken to agree the S106 agreements attached to a number of applications.
Resolved that the report be noted and the Subcommittee’s comments be taken into account, in particular the provision of additional information relating to the outcome of enforcement procedures.
