The minutes of the meeting held on 27 June
2001 were confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

Nimmo-Smith.
01/j/62 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Code of Conduct (non-financial) interests
were declared as follows:

01/j/64 PROPOSAL TO
STOP-UP FOOTPATHS AT THE FORMER CATTLE MARKET
The Director of Environment and Planning presented a report on behalf of the Head of Property and Building Services which requested the Sub-Committee to consider the making of stopping-up orders in respect of two footpaths which crossed the site of the former cattle market.
Resolved (with no votes against) that
1) The Sub-Committee is satisfied that it is necessary to stop-up the following footpaths in order to enable a mixed use leisure development to be carried out on the site of the former cattle market in accordance with planning permission reference C/98/0355/FP:
i) the footpath shown on the plan in Appendix 1 to the report by bold black dashes between the points marked “A”, “B” and “C”; and
ii) the footpath shown on the plan in Appendix 1 to the minutes by bold black dashes and dots between the points marked “D” and “B”.
2) The making of stopping-up orders in respect of the footpaths identified at 1i) and 1ii) above be authorised, pursuant to section 257 Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
3) The advertisement of the Council’s proposals in accordance with the requirements of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 be authorised.
4) The Head of Legal and Democratic Services be authorised to confirm the stopping-up orders if no objections to the confirmation of the orders are received within the statutory consultation period.
