Meetings Council, scrutiny committees, regulatory committees, sub-committee and working party meetings are held at the Guildhall. Area Committees are held at the locations indicated. (Click here for further information on Area Committees.) 
Speaking at meetings The Council has a scheme which allows members of the public to speak and ask questions at meetings. Click here to see a copy of the scheme.
Agenda Reports Minutes and Records of Decision To access the agenda, reports minutes and Records of Decision of the Executive, Council, its committees and subcommittees, click by the date of the meeting. Information is in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format and you will need Adobe Reader to access them. NB From July 2005, Records of Decision listed on the website but in advance of the date stated have been made by the Executive Councillor 'in principle' and are to be confirmed on the day quoted. Minutes are draft copies where indicated and will be signed as a correct record at the next committee meeting.

Exclusion of Members of the Public from Meetings
Confidential information

Some information that Councillors consider at meetings will be confidential and the public must be excluded.  This is most likely to be the result of a prohibition on disclosure to avoid a breach of the Data Protection Act.

Exempt Information Councillors may decide to exclude members of the public from meetings on the grounds that, if they were present, there would be disclosure to them of information defined as exempt from publication in Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 as amended by Local Government (Access to Information) and set out in Appendix 1 of Part 4B of the Council’s Constitution. The agenda for meetings will indicate where this is recommended and the specific reason for exclusion. The reasons for excluding members of the public can be seen by clicking here.
